๐ Getting Here
By Air โ๏ธ: Chennai International Airport (MAA) is about 40โ45 km from the venue. Depending on the mood of Chennai traffic, expect a 60โ75 minute drive.
By Train ๐: The major railway terminalsโChennai Central (MAS) and Chennai Egmore (MS)โare about 45โ50 km away. Plan for a 75โ90 minute drive, which is just enough time for a quick power nap before the festivities begin!
By Road ๐: Driving down the East Coast Road (ECR) is an experience in itself! Itโs a beautiful, scenic route. Once you hit the coast, we highly recommend rolling the windows down to catch that sea breeze.
๐ Getting Around the City
App Cabs: Uber and Ola operate smoothly along the ECR stretch and are great for quick point-to-point trips.
Rentals & Self-Drive: If youโre planning to turn this into a mini-vacation and explore Mahabalipuram or the local cafes, renting a vehicle (self-drive or chauffeur-driven) is your most stress-free option. Our wedding team can help arrange this for you for an additional chargeโjust let us know!
๐ด Weather & Wardrobe Tips
The Climate: Chennai is famously warm and humid, but our ECR venue blesses us with lovely coastal breezes in the evenings. Light, breathable fabrics like cotton, linen, and soft silks will be your best friends here.
The Main Event Look: We would absolutely love for you to bring out your best traditional wear! Dust off those stunning sarees and crisp dhotis/veshtis for the wedding. (Check out the "Dress Code" section for more details).
Footwear Check: Miththam is a gorgeous property featuring traditional courtyards and open lawns. To stay comfortable (and avoid accidentally aerating the grass!), we highly recommend block heels, wedges, or stylish flats over thin stilettos.
The Chennai Survival Kit: Because we are celebrating during peak Chennai rain season, the weather can be wonderfully dramatic. Please don't forget to pack sunglasses, sunscreen, and an umbrella so you're ready for both the sunshine and the sudden showers!
